woohooligan NEW! Check out our best laughs from 2016!
Thanks to Elisha Deogracias who helped back our successful Kickstarter last year! Yay! At the time, Elisha was a programming manager at WUMD. These days I think he's a professional coffee snob and enjoys reading German philosophers translated into Japanese apparently, given the orientation of the book in the comic here. ;)

The alternate ending is now on Patreon!

And for only $35, yes, you too can be an ordained minister of the Church of the Subgenius!

For me this comic brings with it a bittersweet memory, and I suspect it's the same with a lot of you.

"You'll have bad times, but they'll always wake you up to the good stuff you weren't paying attention to."

- Robin Williams - 1951-2014

We'll miss you. And if this comic reminds people of the joy you've given us, I'll be honored.

"Ahh yes, Divorce... from the Latin word meaning to rip out a mans genitals through his wallet."

Please join me in remembering Robin Williams the way I think he'd want us to remember him. Post something from Robin that made you smile! And tag it #FunRobin

You are an important part of Laughter for a Better World!

woohooligan And a German philosophy book printed right-to-left! :D

But the word "hipster" is so versatile... it takes almost nothing to make a persona hipster... like using the word "oeuvre" ... or "versatile"...

Tony McGurk I keep coming across the word hipster but am rather uncertain what they actually are. I must be too old now. Need to Google it

woohooligan Counter-culture kids who insist that anything "mainstream" is automatically garbage that appeals to the lowest-common-denominator. So they say things like "I blah blah before it was cool". Also the origin of Q "What's your favorite x" A "You wouldn't have heard of them"

And if they ever do find that they enjoy something in the mainstream, they insist that they're only watching/listening to it "to be ironic".

I did another strip a while ago that kind of sums it up: Broken Hipster.
