woohooligan It's impossible to know how much of my social anxiety is a product of my autism and how much is a product of being an artist. There seems to be some overlap. Anyway, the long and the short of it is my fear of foot-in-mouth syndrome often leads me to over-think the simplest things. The results are often pretty silly, like I don't really know how to take complements. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I really did like that gift you got me last Christmas. I wasn't just being polite, I really can't have too many pairs of argyle socks. ;P

Though I am always flattered when people share my work through their social networks, be they electronic or old-school. And I'm especially flattered when it's someone I've barely spoken to or don't really know at all, as was the case with RockstarVanity.

Right about the time she posted to her tumblr I also uploaded my last strip and over the past week I've been suddenly really popular in Europe. I'm still kind of scratching my head on that one. Was it Vanity? Or do Europeans just really dig comics about psychology? Maybe I should try and really break into the European market with an in-depth series of comics featuring Pavlov, Konrad Lorenz, and the invisible gorilla. Heinrich! Heinrich, come qvick, ist a comic aboot behavioral imprinting in geese! ;P

In any event, I know all you autistic folks out there can relate to this comic. What about you artist folks? Is it the same for you? Is responding to praise a courageous act? ;P

Also, check out the alternate ending.

Oh and p.s., that's a pair of scissors... you pervert.
